This beautiful, resort town is located on the Pacific coast of Mexico, bracketed by glorious, golden-sand beaches and the Sierra Madre Mountains. Adding to the breath-taking panorama are the tropical jungles and lagoons, which are rich with natural wonders.

Acapulco is known as the birthplace for Mexican tourism, and it is no wonder. There is so much to see and do here, with swim-up bars, and all-night discos, para-sailing, boating, fishing, and water skiing in the freshwater lagoons such as Coyuca.

Even if you just want relax, there are activities to take you away from the rest of the world-activities where you just have to sit back and watch. The famous cliff divers of La Quebrada perform their amazing feats, diving from 100-foot high cliffs into the clear waters below. Or you can take in a bullfight or two. There is the historic Fort of San Diego. And for the material-minded, there is Acapulco Viejo-the heart of the city with many quaint shops and lots of live music.
